Out of South Africa: Lessons in Unstoppable Confidence
I’m not a doctor, although years ago, as an actor, I almost played one on TV. So when I was asked to spend two days in Cape Town, South Africa, working with forty international medical doctors, scientists, and professors on Unstoppable Confidence, I jumped at the chance.
It was one of the most extraordinary experiences of my 30-year career.
The women were brilliant. Their insights, questions, and feedback were spot on. But brilliance alone wasn’t what moved me. What made this experience so profound was their eagerness, openness, and vulnerability—their courage to dive deeply into the work: to reflect, to grow, and to change.
The two days became a graceful exchange of teaching and learning. In between the reflection, tears, and laughter, something remarkable happened: they found strength in each other’s stories and lifted one another up.
